Mary Ann M. White
Mary Ann is Of Counsel and joined the firm in 2010. Mary Ann represents a variety of clients in both the public and private sector. In the public sector, she represents various state and local boards and agencies.
Mary Ann’s representation of clients includes advice and counsel in connection with employment law issues, including defense of civil rights and other employment-related litigation in state, federal and administrative proceedings. Mary Ann also provides counsel to employers in the preparation of employee handbooks, policies and procedures as well as guidance on compliance with state and federal employment laws including: Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. She also aids and assists employers in internal investigations relative to complaints of discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and retaliation.
Mary Ann has experience in representing automotive dealerships in sales and acquisitions, before the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission, and in suits involving redhibition and other related claims. She has experience in matters involving Public Bid Law and the Public Records Act as well as business entity formation and governance, and matters related to condominium associations.
